WHAT: Elections to executive committee positions, general volunteer info, sign up to become a memberIt's that time again! The bi-annual chapter elections for your Palm Beach County chapter of the Surfrider Foundation. Every 2 years, we elect volunteers to our executive committee who are committed to our mission: the protection and enjoyment of our oceans, beaches and waves. If you want to take action to keep our water clean, keep our beaches healthy and accessible, and keep our community informed on crucial environmental issues, then you have found your people! Come out this Friday night to join the chapter and take action!

Basic info on the chapter executive committee:
- The EC must have a minimum of 5 but no more than seven (7) voting members serving on it and must always contain an odd number of members.
- Anyone serving on the chapter executive committee must be a dues paying member in good standing. (Become a member here: https://www.surfrider.org/support-surfrider?source=CH50)
- Executive Committee members must also be full-time Palm Beach County residents.
- Any member in Palm Beach County, who has attended at least 3 other chapter meetings or events within one year preceding the election, is qualified to vote in the present election.
- All Executive Committee members, volunteers in a leadership position, or those interacting with minors are required to submit to a (free) background check.
