Ocean Friendly Garden at Palm Beach Zoo

Written by Surfrider Foundation Palm Beach County Chapter | Jul 28, 2013 3:26:41 AM

Our first Ocean Friendly Garden was planted July 6th, 2013 at the Palm Beach Zoo thanks to coordination and efforts by our OFG Chair, Jennifer Bevan and Co-Chair DD Halpern. Special thanks to the zoo staff, volunteers who prepped the area, cut away dead foliage, dug holes, spread organic mulch, raked and planted. Our awesome rain barrel is from RainLife Rain Barrels in Lake Worth. The garden is located in the zoo in front of the Florida Pioneer House, in between the river otter and flamingo displays.
