Event Details:

WHEN: Thursday, FEB 22nd

WHERE: The Brewhouse Gallery, Lake Park

TIME: 7pm

WHAT: 6 short films on offshore oil drilling.

In January 2018, the Trump administration proposed a new offshore oil drilling plan that would open up nearly all U.S. water to offshore oil drilling, including he coast of Florida. This plan threatens our coastal ecosystems, economies, and way of life.

JOIN US for Shore stories: six short films that highlight the grassroots resistance taking place across the U.S., as well as stories from past oil and gas exploration – including the BP Deepwater Horizon disaster.

After the films, we’ll discuss the proposal and how you can get involved in resisting offshore oil drilling in Florida.

Just an FYI: the event will be over at 8:30pm sharp. However, our wonderful founder, Tom Warnke, has offered to move the afterparty a few doors down to the surf museum. There's no telling how long the discussion could go after the film, so he is offering a space to hang out and chat. (Beer and wine will be available.)
