Earlier this month, the city of Delray Beach passed a resolution encouraging businesses to limit their polystyrene use.

"The EPA has stated it can have serious impacts on human health, wildlife, and the aquatic environment. So, it seems like a great place to start," said city commissioner Juli Casale.
In addition to encouraging businesses and restaurants to get on board with the biodegradable alternatives, the city will also begin negotiating a no polystyrene use requirement into their contracts with future city vendors.
